Mein Justizpostfach: file your deletion online with the ZenVG

Last updated: 2026-09-04

Mein Justizpostfach (MJP) is the free federal mailbox for secure electronic communication with German courts (mjp.justiz.de). You can send your early deletion application and exhibits to the responsible ZenVG this way — instead of relying only on paper mail.

Post remains equally valid. MJP is worth it if you can set up BundID with an Online-Ausweis. Do not confuse it with generic “Justizportal” searches or state service portals.

Full deletion process: Remove a Schuldnerverzeichnis entry.

What you need

  • German Personalausweis with Online-Ausweis (eID) enabled
  • AusweisApp on computer and phone (or a card reader)
  • BundID at the highest trust level with that Online-Ausweis

Without that: send signed documents by post to your ZenVG (address on the Merkblatt or in your SchuldnerClear pack).

Step by step

  1. Create or upgrade BundID with Online-Ausweis

Open id.bund.de and choose the Online-Ausweis option. Follow AusweisApp. A lower BundID level is usually not enough for MJP.

  2. Set up Mein Justizpostfach

Open mjp.justiz.de, sign in / set up, and authenticate with BundID + Online-Ausweis. Complete mailbox encryption as required. Official help: Set up Mein Justizpostfach.

  3. Prepare documents

Typically: signed deletion application, Erledigungsbestätigung (if you have it), ID copy, other exhibits per the Merkblatt. One application per entry. Keep originals.

  4. Send to the responsible ZenVG

Address the message to the ZenVG for your entry (Berlin: Mitte; Brandenburg: Nauen — other states: your ZenVG). Attach clear scans.

  5. If something fails

Tech blocker or no eID? Post is the equal Plan B — address from the portal/Merkblatt or your submission pack.

FAQ

Is MJP mandatory?
No. Post to the ZenVG is a valid path.

Is a lower BundID level enough?
Usually not for MJP — highest level with Online-Ausweis.

Can I file via service.berlin.de?
For the V1 recommended path we use Mein Justizpostfach or post to the ZenVG — not every state service portal.

Next steps

  1. Check whether eID/BundID is feasible.
  2. Finish documents (deletion guide).
  3. Send via MJP or post — or check first whether we can prepare the pack.

Not legal advice. Portals change — use official help pages and fall back to post if needed.
