How to get your Schuldnerverzeichnis Selbstauskunft (vollstreckungsportal.de)
Last updated: 2026-09-04
Your Selbstauskunft from the central Schuldnerverzeichnis shows whether entries exist under your name — and which ZenVG case numbers, creditors, and entry reasons belong to them. Without those details you are guessing on a deletion application.
You obtain the extract nationwide online via the joint enforcement portal of the federal states. Self-access is usually free of charge. SchuldnerClear does not need you to upload the PDF: you type the relevant fields yourself.

What the Selbstauskunft is — and is not
| Selbstauskunft (Schuldnerverzeichnis) | SCHUFA extract | |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Central debtor register of the states | Private credit agency |
| Shows | Register entries (e.g. after asset disclosure) | Agency scoring / contract data |
| Portal | vollstreckungsportal.de | SCHUFA’s own channels |
A “clean” Selbstauskunft means no register hit for your query — not that every credit agency file is clear. Conversely, a register entry can block housing or credit even if you handle SCHUFA separately.
To remove an existing entry: Remove a Schuldnerverzeichnis entry — early deletion.
When you need a Selbstauskunft
- You want to know whether a Schuldnerverzeichnis entry exists.
- You received a Gerichtsvollzieher letter or a housing / credit rejection and suspect a link.
- You want to delete an entry and need ZenVG, case numbers, and entry details for the application.
For a plain Inkasso letter without a register concern, clarify the claim first — still get a Selbstauskunft when you need to rule an entry in or out.
Step by step: obtain the Selbstauskunft
-
Open the portal and register
Go to vollstreckungsportal.de and start Registrierung Auskunft. Official short description (Berlin): Service Berlin — Selbstauskunft.
-
Choose identification
With Online-Ausweis (eID): German ID card with eID enabled and AusweisApp — often the faster path.
Without eID: Complete registration; you receive an activation PIN by post. First access only works after that PIN arrives. Allow several business days. -
Set the access reason
Choose the reason for information about entries concerning yourself (Selbstauskunft). Other reasons apply to third-party access — not your path here.
-
Request and save the extract
After activation, sign in, request the extract, and download or note the result. Keep credentials and the extract secure.
-
Read the result and note the fields
Per entry typically: responsible ZenVG, Aktenzeichen, entry / order dates, creditor, bailiff / ordering authority, procedure number, entry reason — as shown. If no hits: record that explicitly (negative result).
-
Take the matching next step
- Entries present → understand early deletion and/or check for free.
- No hits → register all-clear; handle Inkasso / SCHUFA separately if needed.
- Still waiting on the PIN → use the email reminder on this page or return later.

What SchuldnerClear needs later
For the eligibility check and — if you qualify — the submission pack, note from the Selbstauskunft at least:
- ZenVG (pack support today: Mitte / Berlin, Nauen / Brandenburg)
- Aktenzeichen
- Other portal fields our check or your court requires (e.g. creditor, procedure number, entry date)
You remain responsible for accuracy. We store only what you enter.
Negative result: no entries
If the Selbstauskunft shows no hits, you do not need a register deletion application. Use that clarity carefully with landlords or banks — they often still want a SCHUFA or other extract. For SchuldnerClear the paid deletion path ends here; you can record a negative result and get guidance without a paywall.
Common pitfalls
- PIN not arrived yet — without the postal PIN (or eID activation) there is no first access; avoid duplicate registrations before checking your email.
- Wrong access reason — use the self-information reason for your own extract.
- Confusing this with SCHUFA — different system, different portal.
- Screenshot without case numbers — applications and our check need register fields, not just “something red.”
- Several entries — note each separately; deletion is usually one application per entry.

FAQ
Does the Selbstauskunft cost anything?
Berlin’s service page currently lists no fee. Confirm current portal details.
How long does the PIN take by post?
Often several business days. eID can be much faster.
Do I upload the PDF to SchuldnerClear?
No. In V1 you type the fields yourself — privacy and data minimisation.
Is the Selbstauskunft the deletion application?
No. It is the foundation. Early deletion is a separate filing with the ZenVG — see the deletion guide.
Can I access it in person?
Yes: online registration and, after the PIN arrives, inspection are also possible via local enforcement courts, per service guidance.
Short version: three next steps
- Register on vollstreckungsportal.de (eID or postal PIN).
- View the Selbstauskunft and note ZenVG + Aktenzeichen.
- Check for free — or read the deletion guide first.
SchuldnerClear provides administrative document assembly. Not legal advice, not representation, not a deletion guarantee — portal and court control register access and deletion outcomes.
